Activities: School and Education
|
|
School
Issues/Education addresses any school issues that may be brought up.
The committee also sponsors an alcohol and drug awareness program each year at
the high school in the Spring.
|
Youth Council needs volunteers to “man the table” for Alcohol Awareness Week.
The table will be set up May 24-28. This counts towards your community service hours.
The table will have a display and brochures on it.
We will be handing out keychains that say “If I Get Drunk & Shouldn’t Drive Take These Keys & Keep Me Alive.”
Students will be able to sign a pledge sheet and put a leaf on the “Tree of Life.”
Each leaf on the tree represents one person and their commitment not to drink and drive or get in a car with a driver who is intoxicated.
Students also get a lollipop that says “Don’t Be A Sucker For Drugs”.
If you can volunteer during your lunch period, please RSVP to EBYouthCouncil@aol.com.
When replying please include what lunch period you have.
This counts towards your community service hours.
