Activities: Daisy

Youth Council members help volunteer for the Daisy Recreation Program. For these activities, a volunteer application is needed, as well as a brief orientation. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to more than one date.

Thursdays At Daisy (T.A.D.)

The emphasis of the T.A.D. program is on providing opportunities for social growth and peer interaction.

The volunteers assist in providing recreational activities with participants ranging in age from 13-25. The recreational activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, and other events for program participants are held at the Daisy Recreation Center in Bicentennial Park. Activities will be modified to match each participant's abilities under the direction and supervision of experienced Special Education Teachers. The Daisy Program is sensitive to those who require more assistance, explanation and encouragement. The emphasis is on assisting each individual to enjoy success!

Volunteer time would be 4:45pm-7:30pm. You would earn 2.75 hours of community service for each session.
